My Approach
My therapeutic approach is integrative, trauma-informed care, and grounded in evidence-based, person-centered therapy. Integrative means I draw from multiple approaches to support your specific goals and needs. Therapy is collaborative and focused on understanding patterns, building practical skills, and supporting meaningful, sustainable change.
Person-Centered & Relational Work
In person-centered therapy, the focus is on your experience, values, and perspective, viewing you as the expert on your own life. Together, we explore thoughts, emotions, and relationship patterns in a respectful, collaborative way to support greater self-understanding and healthier ways of relating.
Cognitive & Practical Skills (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) offers practical tools to understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. This work focuses on identifying unhelpful patterns and developing strategies for coping, emotional regulation, and problem-solving in daily life.
Trauma-Informed & Regulation-Focused Care
Therapy is approached with attention to safety, pacing, and choice, reflecting the principles of trauma-informed care. We consider how past experiences may continue to shape the present while building regulation skills. When helpful, we may also pay attention to physical signs of stress—such as muscle tension or changes in breathing—to support emotional regulation.
Mindfulness & Pattern Awareness
Mindfulness-based practices support awareness of thoughts, emotions, and stress responses. This work can help reduce reactivity, increase emotional regulation, and support steadiness during stress, trauma recovery, and life transitions.
